Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain human primary cell lines, including sample tracking and quality control (QC).
  • •Develop cellular and biochemical assays, benchmark conditions (cell line, stimuli, timepoints), and select dynamic ranges in mono- and co-culture models.
  • •Execute perturbation screens on cell models and support the development of new technologies, workflows, and operational infrastructure.
  • •Translate assays into robust, high-throughput, automated workflows and carry out data analysis and quality assurance protocols.
  • •Monitor lab activities (reagents, equipment maintenance, good lab practice), communicate outcomes, and integrate new literature into experimental planning.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD with 1–2 years experience in assay development and/or target validation, or a Master’s degree in Biology with 5+ additional years in a relevant biological science.
  • •Strong experience working with primary and immortalised cell lines, ideally in large batch cultures and using bioreactors.
  • •Experience running functional, disease-relevant endpoints with reproducibility and sensitivity.
  • •Knowledge of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing for modulating gene expression in 2D and 3D cell systems.
  • •Hands-on experience with high content imaging and extensive knowledge of data handling, curve-fitting, and statistical analysis.
