Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform engineering planning and related efforts for roadway and bridge design projects.
  • •Collaborate with engineers, planners, and modelers to research, analyze, and resolve complex transportation analyses or design issues.
  • •Assist with roadway and highway design, maintenance of traffic, and safety projects following the agency’s plan development process.
  • •Coordinate regularly with clients and sub-consultants across assignments and participate in interdisciplinary review of deliverables.
  • •Conduct quality control review of design calculations/drawings and prepare technical specifications; review construction shop drawings and submittals.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) plus 6 years of closely related experience or demonstrated equivalency.
  • •Experience with West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) projects.
  • •PE License in West Virginia (or reciprocal) is required or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
  • •Experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on roadway, drainage, traffic, and site-civil projects.
  • •MS Office skills, including spreadsheet and word processing tools.
