Key Responsibilities

  • •Understand equipment, systems, and processes by reading mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/P&ID drawings and OEM service documentation.
  • •Lead failure-mode and root-cause analysis across mechanical and electronic failure mechanisms, using FMEA/FMECA outputs and data characterization.
  • •Research sensing and diagnostic technologies and select sensors/instrumentation; write technical specifications and define diagnosis/prognosis and health-scoring logic with alarm tradeoffs.
  • •Build, wire, and test prototypes and run pilots/PoCs from discovery through field-testing in lab, shop, and real equipment environments.
  • •Integrate validated sensing and detection into the IIoT product, standardize failure data, drive KPIs/deployment, and develop business cases with lifecycle cost reporting (TCO, NPV, ROI).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field), or equivalent practical experience.
  • •5+ years in reliability, maintenance, failure analysis, test, or equipment/instrumentation engineering.
  • •Working understanding of mechanical and electronic failure mechanisms and how they progress.
  • •Hands-on experience running FMEA/FMECA and performing root-cause analysis on physical equipment.
  • •Practical knowledge of sensors/instrumentation for industrial process and equipment measurement, including specifying and testing prototypes.
