Job Summary

Solicit and originate residential first mortgage loans by partnering with Realtors, builders, and developers, and developing referral relationships across the bank region. Interview applicants, make credit decisions, analyze financial data for creditworthiness, and collect required documentation. Maintain current knowledge of loan products and underwriting guidelines, using tools such as daily rates, credit reports, and DU responses to submit complete loan packages. Provide high customer service and attend required lending meetings.

•Work with the assigned branch office to stay aware of home loan products.
•Handle and follow up on referrals, and develop new referral contacts with realtors, builders, and personal/professional contacts.
•Interview loan applicants, take borrower applications, and make credit decisions based on analyzed financial data.
•Maintain knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
•Use daily rates, credit reports, and DU responses to compile and transmit complete loan packages to the processor, collecting required documentation.

Key Requirements

•Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training.
•Experience analyzing financial data to determine creditworthiness.
•Ability to read and understand business/company articles and professional journals, and speak effectively before customers or employees.
•Ability to calculate financial figures and apply fractions, ratios, and percentages to practical situations.
•Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram formats.
