Key Responsibilities

  • •Feed and water birds according to schedules; monitor temperature and lights and make adjustments as instructed.
  • •Walk floors daily to examine birds for signs of illness, treat as instructed, and handle mortality disposal/loading.
  • •Place pen partitions and segregate birds according to line and age of source.
  • •Clean and disinfect waterers and pens; perform routine housekeeping and repairs to pens and equipment.
  • •Record key information (e.g., line, MG, bird weight, medications, feed & water intake, mortality) per instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (or 18 months for layoffs/caregiving).
  • •Be willing to follow biosecurity and animal welfare requirements, including showering/changing before entering the facility and agreeing to avoid any avian species.
  • •Be willing and able to perform physical job requirements, including regular team lifting up to 35 pounds and frequent bending/stooping.
  • •Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures, including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO, and PPE requirements.
  • •Previous agricultural or production experience is preferred.
