Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled mechanical maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft, including installs, repairs, maintenance, overhauls, modifications, and testing of aircraft components and systems.
  • •Conduct fault diagnosis and recovery of aircraft systems.
  • •Work to SMU Quality Systems and RSAF technical orders, ensuring the quality and completeness of work performed (or sign-off).
  • •Complete SMU forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records, and maintenance documentation; ensure authorisations are current for tasks in hand.
  • •Complete mandated training (keeping training validity dates current) and escalate areas of inexperience or training needs to the immediate supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Successful completion of National Secondary Education and Qualified to Level 2 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Substantial post-qualification practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment, or successful completion of the BAESSA apprenticeship programme.
  • •Completion of all relevant tasks/projects in a Technician Logbook.
  • •English language proficiency.
  • •Saudi or Expatriate: obtain and maintain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to starting in KSA.
