Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate heavy equipment and facility trucks to transport materials within the facility
  • •Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle/equipment problems to the foreperson before work
  • •Maintain awareness of and comply with OSHA and/or MSHA regulations and company safety practices
  • •Assist with general labor and miscellaneous duties (e.g., shoveling, equipment maintenance, assisting foreperson/crew, crusher feeding as required)
  • •Collaborate with other employees to support smooth, safe operation and follow assigned job-site start times

Key Requirements

  • •≤ high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience/education plus 1–3 months related experience
  • •Prior heavy equipment experience, including crushing operation, is helpful
  • •Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly
  • •Ability to maintain and safely operate heavy equipment (e.g., haul truck, water truck, dump truck, track hoe, front-end loader, skid steer)
  • •Ability to understand and follow directions and communicate to receive/give detailed verbal instructions
