Job Summary

Lead Applied Data Engineering on the DataOne team to design and deliver high-impact, scalable data marts and data products. Drive the roadmap, mentor teams, and champion data quality and governance while collaborating across departments in a distributed, remote-friendly environment. You’ll work with Python, Airflow, Snowflake, DBT, Meltano, Fivetran, Looker, and AWS to enable a single source of truth.

•Lead the discovery, architecture, and development of high-impact, high-performance, scalable source of truth data marts and data products.
•Deliver cross-functional roadmaps and drive the continuous evolution and innovation of data at the company.
•Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of learning and growth across squads.
•Drive adoption of emerging technologies and industry best practices to improve data quality, discoverability, and reliability.
•Collaborate across departments to design solutions to ambiguous business challenges in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 205,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar role with a proven track record of launching source of truth data marts, and at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
•8+ years of experience building and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions.
•Extensive experience with data technologies and tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, and AWS.
•Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong proficiency in creating compelling data stories using data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Domo, PowerBI).
