Job Summary

Ensure Plasmidsaurus’ San Francisco lab and headquarters run smoothly so sequencing operations remain uninterrupted and visitors have an exceptional onsite experience. You’ll manage day-to-day lab operations, lab inventory, equipment maintenance, deliveries, and BSL2 safety execution (including EH&S documentation). You’ll also oversee office/workplace operations, vendor coordination, facilities escalations, and cross-team site improvements with partners across Procurement, IT, Operations, and lab leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Own day-to-day SF laboratory operations to keep the lab organized, well-maintained, stocked, and ready for uninterrupted sequencing.
•Manage lab inventory and consumables in partnership with Procurement, and coordinate deliveries and shipments.
•Coordinate equipment acquisition, installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs; maintain organized laboratory workspaces.
•Execute BSL2 safety procedures, inspections, and documentation, including managing the BSL2 room and EH&S scheduling/documentation.
•Own office/workplace operations and site coordination: manage office supplies and vendors, handle facilities issues with the landlord, coordinate visitor/interview logistics, and improve local workflows with cross-functional partners.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 70,000 - 90,000 annually

Key Requirements

•2-4 years of experience in laboratory operations, office operations, workplace operations, facilities, or similar operational roles.
•Experience supporting laboratory environments (preferably biotech/life sciences) with BSL2/BSL3 protocol experience.
•Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, equipment, inventory, deliveries, facilities issues, and workplace operations.
•Experience supporting safety procedures, inspections, documentation, or EH&S activities in a laboratory setting.
•Startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred.
