Key Responsibilities

  • •Represent Eaton’s interests in national and international standards committees.
  • •Monitor and influence standards relevant to low-voltage protection and control products (e.g., MCBs, RCDs, RCBOs, AFDDs, MCCBs/ACBs, semiconductor protection, motor starters, and LV switching combinations).
  • •Assess the impact of installation standards for low-voltage systems, especially IEC 60364, HD 60364, and DIN VDE 0100, on protection concepts and product requirements.
  • •Identify relevant changes in standards, legal requirements, and market needs early, and communicate impacts to the appropriate technical stakeholders.
  • •Create reports on standardization activities and risks/opportunities, and design and run internal/external information events and trainings.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable engineering field.
  • •At least 5 years of professional experience in the electrical engineering domain, preferably electrical installations, low-voltage protection devices, power electronics, or related applications.
  • •Solid electrical fundamentals, especially installation technology, low-voltage protection engineering, and power electronics.
  • •Good understanding of relevant product and installation standards, particularly IEC 60364 (and European/GER implementations like HD 60364 and DIN VDE 0100).
  • •Experience contributing to standardization committees at international, European, or national level (e.g., IEC, CENELEC, DKE, DIN, VDE, ZVEI).
