Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead enterprise-wide strategic projects for metal manufacturing commodities (castings, forgings, sheet steel, stamping, fabrication) with Global Procurement leaders.
  • •Execute strategic and operational plans for VAVE, resourcing, negotiation, and part rationalization to meet measurable cost-out goals.
  • •Identify and develop new technically and commercially viable ideas to reduce product costs and improve competitiveness.
  • •Drive productivity through supplier consolidations, key data improvements, and avoidance of part proliferation.
  • •Leverage DFSS to identify technical risks early in product development and develop robust products meeting customer requirements and specifications.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated experience in a technical engineering organization.
  • •8+ years of experience working with multinational engineering organizations.
  • •Hands-on knowledge of Value Engineering principles and deployment.
  • •In-depth knowledge of requirements for electrical components design and application, including duty cycle attributes.
  • •Ability to develop design guidelines and test protocols for these components.
