Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the security program and act as the senior-most security voice, advising leadership on risk posture and tradeoffs.
  • •Identify gaps versus target security posture, build a roadmap, and personally execute it rather than delegating.
  • •Run core security procedures including risk assessments, access and policy questions, audits, and incident response.
  • •Partner with the MSP and stakeholders across engineering and the business to improve overall security posture.
  • •Support portions of compliance efforts, including SOC 2 and HITRUST, and build a small security team over time.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 270,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in security or information security with direct ownership of a security program at a startup or growth-stage company.
  • •Hands-on experience running security operations including risk assessments, audits, access reviews, and incident response through remediation.
  • •Working knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and/or SOC 2 control frameworks to support and operate controls.
  • •Experience managing MSP relationships and partnering cross-functionally with engineering to close security gaps.
  • •Strong communication skills to explain what is permitted, and represent the security posture to auditors and enterprise customers.
