Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop cementing job designs including preliminary job calculations, computer simulations, fluid system design, and lab test requests with review and approval of results.
  • •Perform risk assessments and verify the design meets regulatory requirements, providing cost estimates for planned operations.
  • •Provide operational expertise and well-site technical support by verifying final job input parameters with engineering tools used to design the job.
  • •Consult with PSL and equipment teams regarding equipment needs/specifications and confirm required resources and chemical/casing forecasts to meet delivery dates and inventory targets.
  • •Conduct post-job analysis, recommend and implement improvements, share learning with the Cementing Team, and support customer relationships to sell tailored cement solutions while mentoring junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of an undergraduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline.
  • •Minimum 12 months experience learning cementing operations, job design, and technical solutions.
  • •Use cementing knowledge to develop job designs that meet customer requirements and regulatory requirements.
  • •Ability to run preliminary job calculations and computer simulations, design fluid systems, and review lab test results.
  • •Basic engineering and commercial principles for performing assignments and providing cost estimates.
