Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and lead a team of Power Supply Technicians in the field to perform preventive and corrective maintenance and minor modifications on power supply systems for Dubai Metro.
  • •Diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions, replace faulty equipment, and coordinate handover/take-back to the electrical workshop for repair.
  • •Conduct periodical electrical and stress testing and check key power equipment (motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, circuit breakers, gas insulated switches, generators, solenoids) while recommending modifications or replacements.
  • •Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment performance details using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • •Assist engineers and technical staff with complex systems/new projects, conduct performance reviews, and support disciplinary/grievance meetings as required.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years’ experience as a qualified power supply maintenance technician repairing power supply and distribution systems, ideally in a rail or power utilities industry.
  • •Preferably 1 year of supervisory experience leading qualified power supply maintenance technicians.
  • •Vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Working knowledge of 750V DC traction and knowledge of relevant GIS, transformers, switchgear, earthing transformer, and power sub-stations (advantage).
  • •Essential ability to operate SCADA control and configure programmable logic controllers, and to use/calibrate electrical and electronics test equipment.
