Key Responsibilities

  • •Grade and tray eggs for incubation, identify defects, handle pedigree eggs without mixing hen numbers, and prepare eggs for disposal or international orders.
  • •Process day-old chicks by counting, vaccinating, wing banding, delivering chicks within the complex, and entering data using a touch screen tablet.
  • •Maintain sanitary conditions by operating tray washers and cleaning/sanitizing setters, hatchers, egg rooms, chick processing areas, and hatchery vehicles.
  • •Perform weekly hatchery monitoring samples (air plates and swabs) and fumigate specified areas as required.
  • •Support additional hatchery duties such as holding eggs for fertility checks, assisting egg drivers, maintaining vehicles, and keeping work and break areas clean.

  • •At least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).
