Job Summary

Dynamic, customer‑facing Systems Debug Engineer responsible for driving silicon and system issues to closure in AMD’s Server Customer Engineering team. You will diagnose, debug, and provide validated solutions for RAS, PCIe/CXL, memory, MCA and micro‑controller related failures, collaborating with global teams to deliver high‑quality, industry‑leading technology to customers.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and perform debugging on RAS, PCIe, memory, MCA, CXL and micro‑controller related failures for customers to drive problem resolution.
•Collaborate with AMD global teams to identify and implement best solutions.
•Provide validation and debug recommendations to customers for validation, new features, and debugging questions.
•Utilize debug tools (debug scripts, protocol analyzers, SCAN and JTAG tools) to narrow down root causes of customer failures.
•Engage with other software/hardware/design teams and lead cross‑functional task forces to resolve issues.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of total experience in relevant areas (RAS validation/debug, PCIe/CXL functional and protocol validation/debug, memory validation/debug, MCA/MCE validation/debug) and post‑silicon validation methodologies.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
•Experience developing Python scripts for debugging and automation.
•Proficiency with high‑speed test equipment and protocol analyzers (e.g., JTAG, SCAN) and familiarity with X86 microarchitectures.
•Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams to drive issues to resolution.
