Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead large technical deliverables from problem definition through multi-month delivery.
  • •Design and develop backend systems for vulnerability and dependency management, including ingestion, storage, indexing, querying, and third-party integrations.
  • •Build and improve systems using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL, contributing to newer services as needed.
  • •Shape technical plans, break down complex work, and guide delivery through proposals and iterative monthly releases.
  • •Apply a security mindset to system design, define patterns for modular services, and provide technical leadership across vulnerability management initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience leading complex backend projects from idea through delivery while staying hands-on with design and development.
  • •Strong PostgreSQL experience, including evidence of query optimization, table optimization, and write-ahead log management in data-intensive systems.
  • •Strong professional experience with Ruby on Rails plus Ruby, Go, or Python, and comfort working in Ruby on Rails day to day.
  • •Experience shaping delivery plans and guiding technical decisions, including supporting other engineers to deliver effectively.
  • •Experience with security tooling or building security products related to vulnerability management and dependency management, plus comfort communicating technical trade-offs clearly.
