Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the cloud ML team responsible for algorithms powering sleep, recovery, and training.
  • •Directly manage applied ML scientists and ML engineers, providing coaching and performance feedback to develop technical leaders.
  • •Maintain technical quality by establishing processes, reviews, and standards that ensure rigor from research through deployment.
  • •Drive evolution of core production algorithms (e.g., workout detection, strain, sleep staging) toward higher accuracy and better member experiences.
  • •Partner across Sensor Intelligence, Product, Software Engineering, and Research to ensure cloud algorithms stay compatible with future hardware generations and to improve development lifecycle practices including validation, deployment, and monitoring.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,000 - 245,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied data science, with hands-on experience developing and shipping ML models for a consumer product.
  • •4+ years of people leadership experience directly managing machine learning scientists/engineers, with demonstrated growth and a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • •Experience scaling a production ML organization by improving the development lifecycle to increase velocity, reliability, and rigor.
  • •Deep product sense to evaluate algorithms from the member’s perspective and ensure meaningful user outcomes.
  • •Ability to evaluate technical designs and guide architectural decisions at the system level without writing code day-to-day.
