Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles in compliance with state and federal transportation laws, safely transporting loads on required routes.
  • •Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain required regulatory logs (e.g., ELD logs).
  • •Coordinate loading and unloading by maneuvering trucks/trailers, following loading crew signals, and assembling customer loads per the loading list.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver paperwork to the appropriate staff upon route completion.
  • •Support yard operations by organizing trailers, assisting with staging and transfers, keeping the yard and trucks clean, and reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Possess and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or chauffeur's license as required for the operated vehicle.
  • •Pass and maintain background and drug testing required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass and maintain a DOT physical for trucks over 10,000 lbs.
  • •Experience as a delivery driver with customer-facing interaction and the ability to deliver in different environments.
  • •Working knowledge of and ability to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • •Experience operating a forklift and straight truck, plus the ability to push and pull material from the bin.
