Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and deliver the technical roadmap for your engineering domain by designing, documenting, and executing scalable, cost-efficient, low-latency platform solutions.
  • •Write clean, maintainable, high-performance code to build APIs and core platform features that scale with Freshworks’ growth.
  • •Identify critical architectural bottlenecks and technical debt and drive iterative refactoring plans without compromising delivery.
  • •Lead production excellence for complex distributed SaaS issues, performing root-cause analyses and implementing permanent preventive safeguards.
  • •Establish engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline integration; mentor engineers across functions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • •12 to 15 years of hands-on software engineering and systems/platform engineering experience in modern distributed SaaS environments.
  • •Proven track record owning end-to-end architecture and technical strategy for large-scale products or core platform infrastructure.
  • •Demonstrated experience building and maintaining high-availability, low-latency, and high-throughput systems under aggressive deployment schedules.
  • •Extensive experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Ops, Design) to drive consensus and alignment.
