Job Summary

Senior Fund Accountant at Carta will support private market fund CFO services, handling closed-end fund accounting for venture capital funds and SPVs. Key Responsibilities

•Support fund CFO services for clients, including capital calls and distributions, audit/tax support, pre/post close services, quarterly and annual financials, and Limited Partner communications
•Provide transparency to founders, VCs, and LPs with real-time IRR, portfolio data, and data points (TVPI, RVPI)
•Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance Investor Services product suite
•Convert service offerings into a software-driven approach by consulting with clients and implementing Carta’s Fund Administration software
•Partner with top venture capital firms to streamline their financial accounting and work cross-functionally with product, engineering, go-to-market and operations teams

Key Requirements

•3+ years of closed-end fund accounting experience
•An accounting or finance degree
•Experience interpreting and understanding Limited Partnership Agreements
•Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, and ability to judge when to escalate
•Experience mentoring/coaching junior accountants
