Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise day-to-day sanitation of plant equipment and facility to meet food safety requirements and regulations.
  • •Train sanitation employees; assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline; resolve complaints.
  • •Develop and document cleaning procedures (SSOPs, cleaning logs) and maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • •Ensure compliance with safety rules, PPE use, company GMPs, and food safety/quality control specifications.
  • •Coordinate sanitation and related production items with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance; work with chemical suppliers on process changes to improve results and reduce costs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • •2+ years of manufacturing experience in the food industry required; food industry sanitation experience preferred.
  • •Efficiently use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • •Strong communication skills, including leading meetings or group discussions.
  • •Read and interpret MSDS, safety rules, and procedure manuals; able to write reports and compute rates/ratios/percent for cleaning chemicals.
