Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Translate complex legal analysis into clear, actionable guidance for fast-moving product and engineering teams.
•Proactively assess legal risks and advise product, engineering and business teams building services that reshape how information moves across the Internet—and the laws that govern it.
•Review and architect legal frameworks for technology transactions related agreements, such as technology partner agreements, inbound IP licensing agreements, and marketplace arrangements for Cloudflare’s developer platform.
•Draft terms of service, disclosures, policies, and related processes.
•Apply privacy-by-design principles and partner with the privacy team on data-flow reviews, PIAs, and other privacy deliverables.

Key Requirements

•JD degree with strong academic credentials and admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
•3+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience, preferably with technology companies.
•Technical background / expertise is highly desired; a passion for technologies is a bonus.
•Experience with copyright law and Internet law (e.g., AI Act, Data Act, net neutrality, DMCA, CFAA).
•Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with lawyers and non-lawyers.
