Key Responsibilities

  • •Review contractors’ pay applications, invoices, cost submissions, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, contract compliance, and cost reasonableness.
  • •Assess Schedule of Values and cost submissions for alignment with scope, front-loading, incomplete breakdowns, and payment risk exposure.
  • •Evaluate change orders and contractor cost proposals for entitlement, pricing reasonableness, schedule impact, contract alignment, and backup support.
  • •Maintain accurate cost reporting artifacts including cost reports, change logs, trend logs, contingency logs, exposure/commitment/actuals/accruals, and unresolved items.
  • •Build and validate EAC and cash flow forecasts, identify cost variances and forecast risks, and provide executive-level cost narratives and risk summaries.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in cost engineering, cost control, project controls, construction cost management, or related roles.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Engineering Management, or a related technical field.
  • •Hands-on cost engineering execution experience (not only high-level management oversight).
  • •Practical construction or EPC cost management experience on large, complex programs.
  • •Strong knowledge and execution of cost management (EAC, variance analysis, change/contingency/cash flow, accruals) including reviewing pay applications, invoices, Schedule of Values, and cost backup documentation.
