Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and develop the Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical Designers team (objectives, feedback, check-ins, evaluations, and skill growth).
  • •Plan and allocate activities, track milestones, manage workload/capacity, and escalate decisions outside the team’s scope.
  • •Ensure MDO rules and standards are applied and verify deliverable compliance (3D, 2D plans, tolerancing/cotation, nomenclatures, and PLM data).
  • •Provide first-level technical challenge, prepare Design Reviews, and escalate technical topics requiring risk handling or maturity conclusions to the MDO technical leader.
  • •Coordinate interfaces with projects and contributing business functions, ensure continuity of work, and support RETEX and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience in a mechanical design office (bureau d’études mécanique) and a solid understanding of designing and industrializing mechanical products.
  • •Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and develop a team with clear, empowering day-to-day leadership.
  • •Strong mechanical design skills, including ISO-GPS tolerancing and knowledge of manufacturability, assembly, and testability considerations.
  • •Good understanding of CAD/PLM tools, with Creo and Windchill knowledge as an advantage.
  • •Strong organization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration, with a fact-based approach to priorities, risks, and escalations.
