Job Summary

Own the multi-year technical strategy and architectural direction for a modeling platform spanning modeling, orchestration, identity/state management, AI, and frontend/design systems. Lead architectural coherence across 7+ platform teams by defining contracts, APIs, and quality standards that enable composable systems and an excellent developer experience. Serve as a hands-on technical leader, connect platform investments to business outcomes, and coach senior engineers as the platform scales.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the multi-year technical strategy and architectural direction for the platform across Modeling, Orchestration, Trust and Compliance (Identity + State Management), AI, and FEDS (Frontend & Design Systems).
•Make org-wide technology choices with broad impact, building alignment across engineering with clear rationale and technical vision.
•Drive architectural coherence across 7+ platform teams so independently built systems compose into a unified platform with consistent contracts, APIs, and quality standards.
•Lead delivery of the platform’s most impactful projects as a hands-on technical leader, balancing end-customer experience and internal developer ergonomics.
•Partner with senior EPD leadership to connect platform investments to business outcomes and coach Staff and Senior engineers toward greater strategic scope.

Key Requirements

•Deep expertise in platform engineering and distributed systems at scale, including building foundational infrastructure used by multiple product teams over years.
•Set and drive technical strategy at the org or company level, connecting technical choices to customer outcomes and business value across multiple teams and multi-year horizons.
•Lead by influence across organizational boundaries, driving alignment between teams with competing priorities without direct authority.
•Strong written and verbal communication using architecture docs, strategy memos, decision records, and RFCs as everyday tools.
•Hands-on excellence: write code, lead delivery, and stay credibly technical; non-negotiable.
