Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while adhering to Tyson safety policies and procedures.
  • •Perform mechanical tasks including welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, and replacing components such as motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, and pipes/lines.
  • •May monitor boiler conditions and perform chemical tests on boilers as needed.
  • •May read drawings and schematics of hydraulic and basic electrical systems to support maintenance and repairs.
  • •Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor and participate in outside training, company testing programs, and vendor training.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 6 months of mechanical/maintenance experience within the last 24 months, preferably industrial maintenance.
  • •Must have 6 months of continuous employment with one employer within the last 24 months.
  • •Must be able to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • •Must be able to use basic hand tools, read and understand assignments, and communicate orally and in writing.
  • •Must be certified to operate various pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts and be willing to complete training/testing as needed.
