Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development, including concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet modeling, joint design via statements of work, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.
  • •Develop and consolidate the manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers; manage CAPEX throughout NPI.
  • •Run value-stream mapping to optimize supply-network lead time and flexibility, and complete BOM risk assessments with alternate component sourcing and component qualifications ahead of production.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, and manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation.

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering.
  • •Experience designing and developing electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Advanced sourcing experience, including stints as a commodity/sourcing manager.
  • •Supplier development experience (technology, process, supply chain) with early supplier engagement.
  • •Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
