Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems in a food manufacturing plant. Install and modify electrical and electronic devices, communication cabling, and power distribution/wiring, and respond to work orders and crisis calls with the right tools. Read blueprints and wiring diagrams, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, assist maintenance technicians, and support safe, food-safety-compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and install communication cables, power distribution, and wiring for equipment and computer systems.
•Install, modify, and repair electrical and electronic devices, including electrical controls/components per manufacturer specs and safety policies.
•Troubleshoot electrical/electronic issues, assist maintenance technicians, and test major subsystems/components to localize problems using specialized equipment.
•Perform preventive and predictive maintenance schedules on electrical/electronic systems and related plant equipment, and install new equipment/appliances and utilities.
•Receive work orders, review needs for tools/equipment/time/manpower/parts/supplies, and follow safe work practices and food safety/GMPs.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment, or 4 years direct related experience.
•Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting.
•Knowledge of computer/device communications and standard protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Modbus, HART, and Serial.
•Knowledge of programmable logic/automation controllers, human-machine interfaces, and programming languages (Ladder Logic, FBD, SFC, Structured Text), including platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, GE, and Ignition.
•Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently.
