Location: Madrid, Malaga
Workplace: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full time

Seniority: Sr. Manager level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate reusable backend services in Python or TypeScript/Node.js that hold client data and permissions as a source of truth and expose clean APIs.
  • •Lead migrations retiring legacy integrations and serve data directly from purpose-built services with clear data contracts and source-of-truth boundaries.
  • •Move complex domain logic (e.g., Lending, Underwriting, Trade Finance workflows) out of Salesforce configuration into purpose-built platforms.
  • •Build production-grade AI for automated chat responses and deterministic workflow triggers that integrate LLMs so Ops agents handle exceptions.
  • •Ensure reliable delivery: take full ownership of development and maintenance, implement monitoring/alerting/observability and idempotency, and ship through CI and Terraform-managed infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong knowledge of algorithms and object-oriented/functional design with best-practice patterns.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • •5+ years backend software engineering (Senior) / 7+ years with cross-domain architectural impact (Staff), with deep distributed-systems and cloud-native experience.
  • •Experience in fintech or financial services, plus production backend depth across data modeling, API design, async patterns, idempotency, and microservices failure modes.
  • •Experience integrating LLMs into production (or readiness to apply RAG, prompt engineering, and model evaluation within strict data-access boundaries).
