Job Summary

Safely operate a ready-mixed concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload concrete to customer job sites in West Virginia and surrounding areas. Follow dispatch instructions, maintain required OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices, keep the truck and work area clean, and complete delivery tickets and required customer documentation. You’ll also perform pre- and post-trip inspections, handle basic customer transactions, and maintain communication with the dispatcher or plant supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver and unload concrete to construction sites as specified, following dispatch instructions and applicable laws.
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use supplied PPE as directed.
•Maintain the work area and vehicle in clean, orderly condition, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries.
•Communicate with the dispatcher or plant supervisor regarding deliveries, check delivery tickets for special instructions, and complete required documentation/signatures.
•Collect money from customers and record transactions; respond to basic product knowledge and concrete instruction questions.

Key Requirements

•Possess a valid minimum Class B CDL (or complete training and pass the CDL exam to attain licensure).
•Acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state-issued commercial driver license (or obtain upon completion of training).
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and write routine reports/ticket details.
•Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance/repair issues.
•High school diploma preferred, or at least one year of related experience or training (or an equivalent combination).
