Job Summary

Provide advanced subject-matter expertise to support and operate classified voice and data networks. You’ll monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN performance, plan and coordinate network hardware/software installation and reconfiguration, and ensure compliance with industry security best practices. Collaborate to research new networking technologies, help drive the network roadmap, produce and maintain technical documentation for security requirements, and mentor others while supporting local and domestic travel.

•Maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks, including installation and reconfiguration of network hardware and software elements.
•Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize network system performance and quickly resolve service-impacting issues.
•Review vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and best practices.
•Drive and/or participate in projects to install or improve voice, video, and network infrastructure.
•Produce and continuously improve technical documentation to support security requirements and operational support; assist with mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 6 years’ experience.
•Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret DOD security clearance required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.
•Advanced configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, and authentication servers.
•Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
•Experience with platforms and security practices such as Cisco ISE, Cisco Call Manager, NTP servers, GemOne, SolarWinds, and encryption/intrusion detection; familiarity with NIST/STIG compliance is preferred.
