Key Responsibilities

  • •Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing
  • •Collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives
  • •Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs
  • •Remain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practice
  • •Travel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performance

Key Requirements

  • •BSN required. BSNs will be required to enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program, immediately upon hire, paid for by GCU OR
  • •BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught
  • •Experience outside of the traditional hospital setting required (clinics, Veterans health, home health, public health nursing)
  • •5 years recent RN clinical experience with 3 years of recent direct Public Health/Population Health patient care nursing experience with a BSN
  • •An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license
