Job Summary

Lead and coordinate the injection molding department to drive safety culture, quality, efficiency, and productivity. Manage molding department personnel, direct continuous improvement for safety/quality/productivity, and oversee production scheduling, labor, staffing, scrap, and cost reduction. Partner with EHS&S, Quality, Maintenance, and Production Scheduling to ensure safe operations, compliance with SQF/HACCP/GMP and ISO expectations, and on-time, on-budget project delivery for the Tolleson/Phoenix facility.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct and lead molding department personnel to accomplish corporate, divisional, and plant goals and objectives.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, productivity, and other variables affecting departmental and plant performance.
•Oversee production supervision including staffing requirements, efficiencies, scrap, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
•Plan and establish quality, personnel development, and productivity training; select, train, develop, and monitor staff performance.
•Coordinate mold changes and repairs with production scheduling, continually inspect equipment for efficiency/quality, and partner with Quality and Maintenance to resolve issues.

Key Requirements

•B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent on-the-job experience, with 7+ years of related plastic injection molding experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
•Strong technical, business, and managerial skills with the ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
•Demonstrated safety leadership with accountability and communication of safety goals and expectations across the organization.
•Good working knowledge of Excel and other related software to gather and analyze production data.
•Ability to recognize mechanical and production challenges, implement corrective actions, and effectively plan and organize daily activities while reacting to changes.
