Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze site, blueprint, and GIS data to support procurement package development and detailed design reviews.
  • •Coordinate, review, and approve electrical infrastructure design plans for smaller and less-complex projects to ensure code compliance.
  • •Apply electrical engineering techniques across concept, preliminary, final design, procurement, construction, and operation phases to identify improvements.
  • •Perform and review electrical engineering deliverables including diagrams, substation layouts, grounding and lightning protection, load and equipment sizing, and protective device studies.
  • •Oversee design and construction delivery by coordinating cross-functional teams, preparing technical reports/presentations, and implementing site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience providing electrical substation design deliverables for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • •Extensive knowledge of substation design and applicable engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, and regulations.
  • •Ability to make technical computations/calculations and produce required design documentation and specifications.
