Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Take ownership of electrical design deliverables within a multidisciplinary team across the full project lifecycle.
  • •Lead and assist with detailed electrical designs, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings using AutoCAD while maintaining compliance with standards and specifications.
  • •Develop and manage 3D plant models and coordinate discipline clash detection using Navisworks (or equivalent).
  • •Manage drawing registers, model deliverables, and document workflows, including participation in internal design reviews.
  • •Provide technical mentorship and guidance to cadet and intermediate designers and liaise with project engineers/managers to resolve technical queries and meet timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with experience producing deliverables across all design stages (Pre-Feasibility through Construction).
  • •Minimum 5-10 years of electrical drafting and design experience in a CAD environment.
  • •Strong understanding of electrical design principles and electrical design tasks with minimal direction from senior engineers.
  • •Lead and assist with detailed electrical designs, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings while ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, client specifications, and applicable codes/regulations.
  • •Proficiency with 3D plant models and coordination of discipline clash detection using Navisworks (or equivalent), with experience using Microstation and/or Revit well regarded.
