Job Summary

Oversee development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects (1 MW+) from land development through notice-to-proceed (NTP). Lead wind and/or solar projects across early, mid, and late stages, coordinating scope, schedules, estimates, engineering specifications, permitting, and transitions into construction. Manage expenditures and procurement activities, communicate status to stakeholders, support community engagement, and help identify opportunities while ensuring safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Support community engagement efforts and directly engage in community meetings to achieve project outcomes.
•Lead wind and/or solar renewable energy projects through development activities across early, mid, and/or late stages.
•Facilitate project management needs including scope of work, scheduling, estimating, engineering, and construction specifications.
•Oversee project expenditures and cost-effective procurement; coordinate bid meetings, supplier selections/evaluations, and contracting strategy.
•Ensure project completion through development, engineering design, permitting, pre-construction, and transition to construction while maintaining safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of project management experience (scheduling, estimating, project risk management, and construction management), including 2 years in renewable energy/community development/community engagement projects; OR
•Associate degree and 7-9 years of project management experience (scheduling, estimating, project risk management, and construction management), including 2 years in renewable energy/community development/community engagement projects; OR
•High school diploma or GED and 9-11 years of project management experience (scheduling, estimating, project risk management, and construction management), including 2-3 years in renewable energy/community development/community engagement projects.
•Proficiency with project management software and ability to coordinate deadlines and logistics to lead work processes within an agreed-upon time frame.
•Ability to manage the development and strategic process for wind and/or solar energy projects.
