Job Summary

Build and ship cross-platform UI features that power Netflix’s studio media review and collaboration workflows at scale. Own end-to-end UI engineering work—partnering with UX designers, product managers, and backend teams—to develop secure playback, commenting, and annotation experiences. Evaluate and adopt new technologies, participate in product reviews and on-call incident reviews, and help define engineering best practices while improving system quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Work cross-functionally to build, test, deploy, and launch UIs that operationalize workflows at scale.
•Participate in product reviews and team meetings, providing technical insight and helping scope, estimate, and prioritize needs.
•Evaluate new technologies and approaches to streamline and improve rapid application development tooling and conventions.
•Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident reviews; communicate complex technical issues and solutions to stakeholders.
•Apply engineering best practices, support team growth, and help guide projects and decisions that improve system quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Requirements

•Experience building enterprise applications with React, TypeScript, React Native, and internal UI frameworks, plus video player technologies.
•Familiarity with backend services using Java Spring Boot, GraphQL, and gRPC (valued).
•Experience with media processing pipelines (e.g., transcoding and packaging), DRM systems, or cloud-based media services such as AWS Elemental (plus).
•Familiarity with storage and metadata services (e.g., S3-based layers) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions (beneficial).
•A strong sense of ownership, independence, initiative, and the ability to collaborate and guide UI engineering decisions and best practices.
