Key Responsibilities

  • •Reinforce didactic content by teaching nursing knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing.
  • •Collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives.
  • •Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
  • •Remain current with new trends and developments in pediatrics nursing practice and maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements.
  • •Travel to GCU student sites within the Sun City, AZ area to directly observe student performance during scheduled clinical rotations.

Key Requirements

  • •MSN preferred.
  • •OR BSN with proof of at least 9 credits (3 classes) in any graduate program or an approved national certification related to the content area being taught.
  • •2 years of recent clinical work experience in pediatrics nursing.
  • •An active, current, unencumbered, multi-state (compact) RN license.
  • •Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing.
