  • •Demonstrate safe backing skills, including blind-side and tight-space maneuvers, minimizing risk to people, product, and infrastructure.
  • •Ensure trailers are aligned, secured, and dock-ready prior to loading or unloading.
  • •Maintain orderly trailer placement to support yard flow and dock utilization, confirming dock status and authorization before moving.
  • •Operate yard switcher tractors safely, perform daily inspections, watch pedestrian/equipment traffic, and use stop-work authority when unsafe conditions exist.

  • •Able to pass PBV Yard Switcher Training and Skills Test and work extended shifts as needed.
