Job Summary

Senior Metallurgical Engineer role within WSP's ERI Metals and Mining group. You will plan and execute studies and detailed engineering for new processing plants and upgrades, lead lab programs, develop design criteria, cost estimates, and tender documents, and supervise metallurgical teams across multiple Ontario offices.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify client needs and contribute to proposals.
•Define project needs and present technical information, concepts, and study outcomes to stakeholders.
•Establish design criteria, develop mass balances, define process flow diagrams, size and select process equipment, and prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
•Develop laboratory test programs, oversee their execution, and analyze resulting data.
•Prepare capital and operating cost estimates and review tender packages, technical specifications, and related engineering documents.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
•15+ years of relevant experience in metallurgical processes.
•Current P.Eng license.
•Experience in consulting engineering companies (an asset).
•Strong initiative, attention to detail, and a rigorous work approach.
