Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform AV installation tasks such as cable pulls, cable terminations, installing system equipment/components, and rack fabrication/wiring layout.
  • •Lead and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians on site and verify quality of work.
  • •Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to support accurate installation.
  • •Test point-to-point cabling and system functionality; assist with loading/testing code for control/DSP systems as needed.
  • •Act as a customer liaison on site, coordinate with other trades, support Project Manager documentation, and manage/secure tools and equipment on job sites.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead and direct installation crews on larger, more complex projects while coordinating with a Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • •Advanced understanding of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems) and ability to diagnose and resolve AV technical issues.
  • •Advanced proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) including conduit runs and cable trays/wiring methods.
  • •Experience reading and interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints, and ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • •4–6 years of audiovisual/electronics installation experience and a valid, current AVIXA CTS General Certification (plus a minimum high school diploma or equivalent).
