Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete initial safety check/inspection of the yard truck and document it on the inspection form.
  • •Drive the yard truck to move and park trailers and trucks needed by the receiving department during the shift.
  • •Maintain constant communication with the supervisor and receiving team to coordinate which trucks need backing in/out.
  • •Monitor the radio constantly and respond immediately to requests from the supervisor or shipping & receiving team.
  • •Assist receiving team members with unloading trailers as needed and perform other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

  • •Be at least 18 years old and have a valid state-issued driver's license.
  • •Have 6 months of driver's work experience and fewer than 4 points under the Tyson Yard Driver Evaluation System.
  • •Have no DWI/DUI conviction within the past 12 months and be willing to submit a Non-DOT disclosure and release form to obtain MVR.
  • •Be willing to work in all weather conditions and be able to lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 pounds.
  • •Have good verbal and written communication skills.
