Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead engineers, technicians, and trainees by assessing capabilities, identifying development opportunities, and motivating the team daily
  • •Drive pace, accuracy, and standards across all aspects of the CFC operation on a shift pattern supporting 24/7 coverage
  • •Manage day-to-day allocation of workload and support operational decision making across mechanical and electrical engineering streams
  • •Use expertise to ensure safe working practices, including working safely at height, with health and safety as a top priority
  • •Handle disciplinary issues when required

Key Requirements

  • •Experience leading a team of engineers in an automated FMCG environment
  • •Competent, experienced engineer in mechanical or electrical engineering, with familiarity with both streams for decision making
  • •Comprehensive understanding of production, picking and storage MHE systems
  • •Experience with computerised maintenance management systems and being computer literate
  • •Engineering HNC or equivalent relevant degree, plus applied learning and/or an engineering technician apprenticeship, with electrical and/or mechanical skills (preferably gained in an FMCG background to at least NVQ 3)
