Key Responsibilities

  • •Design low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400V), including UPS sources.
  • •Produce designs for low voltage systems using AMTECH, including cable types, protective devices, and result presentation.
  • •Create general lighting and emergency lighting designs, including lighting types and sources (including LED), using industry-standard lighting design software.
  • •Design cable management systems (CMS) such as trunking, tray, and conduits, including CMS sizing calculations and self-checking; prepare schematic and 2D layout drawings.
  • •Model 3D MEP services using Bentley Microstation and AECOsim, generate 2D sections from 3D models, and supervise/verify designers' and modellers' work; guide assistant engineers in day-to-day electrical design work.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •8–11 years of working with Electrical design.
  • •Qualifications meeting requirements for Chartership with an Engineering Institution.
  • •Knowledge of BS7671 and BS5266 (including City & Guilds requirements for Electrical Installations (2382)).
  • •Extensive experience in a rail station environment with good working knowledge of Network Rail, TfL, and LUL standards.
