Job Summary

Assist rental HVAC field technicians with installation and repair of environmental control systems. Use refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts to support maintenance activities such as preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests. Coordinate with supervising technicians/project management and customers, use cutting-edge tools and hand-tools to diagnose and repair units, and help perform testing, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects while maintaining safety and asset accountability.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist rental HVAC field technicians with installation and repair of environmental control systems, using refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts.
•Support preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests, including replacement and modifications of equipment or systems as needed.
•Serve as a direct customer contact on assigned projects, helping identify, examine, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
•Coordinate with supervising field technician/project manager and customers to understand requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
•Enforce safety standards and maintain security/accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions; maintain flexibility for overtime/weekends and occasional overnight stays.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate of completion from an accredited technical school.
•2+ years of experience in HVAC; technical school or formal training preferred.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with hand-held computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations (including DUI, hit & run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving).
