Job Summary

Lead the definition and trade-off analysis of candidate propulsion architectures for space systems, establish solution architecture with stakeholder-aligned trade-offs, oversee co-engineering activities, manage interfaces and performance parameters, and drive the design lifecycle from concept to validation within an international engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and recommend candidate architectures for the corresponding level (solution or solution element) to satisfy stakeholder expectations according to the standards and re-use policies, the technology roadmap and the business strategy.
•Establish the solution architecture by making trade-offs between stakeholder expectations, technical and technological solutions and costs, risks and schedule, document the associated artefacts (architecture justification in the design and justification file, product breakdown structure, system/segment design document) and approve the resulting lower-level specifications (internal or external).
•Assist in the solution development cycle and in defining the co-engineering approach.
•Manage, all along the project life cycle, the assignment of the corresponding level requirements, the management of the performance evaluation and the critical parameters, the definition of the interfaces, the technical negotiation between the different stakeholders (internal or external).
•Build an international career within a leading Engineering Group and explore opportunities across domains.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 41,424.25 - 51,823.67

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with propulsion discipline or fluid analysis.
•Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of developing teams and engaging with customers.
•Proactive, responsible, and result-oriented with strong initiative and persuasive communication abilities.
•Familiarity with Concept, Design, Experimentation and Simulation tools, MBSE, and agile methods (Lean Thinking, Obeya).
•6–11 years of relevant space propulsion experience.
