Job Summary

Provide technical direction for a AAA multiplayer project’s UI team, designing and building scalable, accessible, high-performance user interface systems. Lead UI implementation with Unreal Engine 5 frameworks (CommonUI, MVVM, Enhanced Input), manage UI performance and memory budgets, and ensure first-party certification compliance. Architect data-driven, server-configurable UI workflows for global deployment, mentor UI engineers, and collaborate across Design and Production to ship responsive experiences across platforms and devices.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide tech direction for a AAA multiplayer UI team, directing the technical design and implementation of the game’s UI.
•Build flexible, scalable, accessible, high-performance UI systems using Unreal Engine 5 frameworks (CommonUI, MVVM, Enhanced Input).
•Maintain robust asynchronous asset management and integrate with backend services (e.g., inventory, matchmaking, live telemetry) while keeping the UI responsive.
•Manage UI performance and memory budgets, leveraging GPU where needed, and ensure UI meets first-party certification requirements.
•Architect data-driven, server-configurable UI systems and mentor UI engineers through code reviews and improved UI/UX workflows.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of professional game programming experience, including at least 2 shipped AAA titles in a Senior or Lead UI role.
•Deep technical knowledge of Unreal Engine UI systems, including CommonUI, UMG, Slate, and MVVM patterns.
•Expert C++ skills, including asynchronous data handling, memory management, and C++/Blueprint interoperability.
•Experience resolving UI-related console certification issues (TRC/TCR) for PlayStation and/or Xbox platforms.
•Practical understanding of the Unreal material pipeline for performant UI materials and shaders.
