Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the methodology, oversight, and reporting of Fair Value and Prudent Value for Private Equity and Private Credit instruments.
  • •Implement and maintain valuation methodologies and underlying models used to calculate Fair Value and Prudent Value.
  • •Apply and maintain a robust control environment, ensuring accurate fair-valued financial reporting through appropriate valuation adjustments.
  • •Serve as HBCE SME for Private Markets valuation and provide informal governance/oversight to extended production teams.
  • •Coordinate priorities and resolution, ensure timely issue handling with a strong audit trail, and engage with Internal Audit, external audit, and regulators on valuation topics.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience in valuation control/product control for Private and Less-Liquid Markets, including Private Equity and Private Credit.
  • •Strong accounting knowledge with proven application of IFRS in a valuation control context (French and/or German GAAP is a plus).
  • •Ability to apply significant judgement on valuation adjustments within a controlled governance framework.
  • •Experience working in a matrix environment and influencing outcomes across teams and locations.
  • •Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with audit and regulators.
