Key Responsibilities

  • •Evolve and grow the Wise Europe Platform compliance framework, setting and adapting standards for partner onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
  • •Provide expert challenge and support to first line teams in Product and operations to ensure changes are designed effectively within the control framework.
  • •Pre-empt compliance risks across platform products and integration types by driving mitigation plans for financial crime vulnerabilities.
  • •Partner with Product and Risk to develop risk monitoring frameworks and KRIs, providing insights into risk exposure for the AMLCO and Board.
  • •Act as subject matter expert and coach the broader compliance organization on correspondent banking and complex business onboarding topics.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 125,000 - 179,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of experience in financial crime compliance with oversight for correspondent banking, BaaS, or complex platform products.
  • •Deep technical knowledge of Belgian and European AML/CTF regulations, with confidence defending risk approaches to senior leadership or regulators.
  • •Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale change projects and drive alignment across multiple functions.
  • •Excellent communication skills to distill complex data into clear strategic narratives for executives and stakeholders, and for junior team members.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, or a related field; ACAMS or ICA certifications are beneficial.
